The street we chose to replan is one of the most important streets which is located in the heart of Cairo - Egypt's Capital City. The street is known for cloth thrift shopping that comes to it people from all over the city with different social levels. That's why our main concern was to organize the shopping process and solve the crowd problem

Potentials & Constraints

The street stands out with the important location near the Nile and in the center of the city that is accessible with all kinds of public transportation as well as its historical value due to presence of several iconic buildings. 
On the other hand the street's infrastructure and buildings are in a very bad condition and it lacks the motif of greenery. Most importantly is that the street is so narrow with respect to the pedastrian traffic that comes for shopping everyday.

The Proposed Design

The new design divided the commercial zone upon two floors to solve the crowd issue. It also offers several green areas for gatherings and environmental purposes
